The process of setting goals isn’t a difficult one.  Having patience and motivation to work towards your goal is the hard part.  We have all had situations where we’ve started a project and it wasn’t working out the way we wanted and we gave up on it really fast.  You just have to believe and have faith, consistently think about your goal and make it happen.  Put passion into your goals.  If you have emotion behind it you’ll focus much better.  I mentioned in the past how a lot of people find motivation in thinking about an ex-love.

Set short-term goals, mid-term goals, and long-term goals.  Don’t create them and forget about them.  Put them up on your Idea Wall so you don’t forget.

I even set goals weekly.  I make a list of the things I’d like to accomplish during the week and I work towards them.  I put my goals up on my idea wall so they are always in my face.  If it’s a big project you can go ahead and break it down into parts, or if it’s a multi-week project try to set a level of progress you’d like to be at on a certain date.

The biggest problem that most people have is that they set goals on a day where they fill all motivated and then they just get lazy and ignore them.  I’ve been guilty of that in the past as well.  Stay focus and realize when you’re procrastinating.

If you accomplish all your week’s goals you will feel great.  That feeling will keep you motivated to start the next week’s projects.  Don’t forget to reward yourself for accomplishing your week’s goals.  Do something that you enjoy.

No go step up to your idea wall and set your goals.
